Kurt comes up spluttering and shocked and already making threats, water dripping in his eyes, and thank god he’s not still in his school clothes or Blaine would really be toast. Blaine, that brat, is laughing hysterically, his arms still locked around Kurt’s waist, and though Kurt had been worried about his own hair, Blaine’s is an absolute disaster, mostly plastered to his head but sticking straight up in the back, and Kurt is suddenly, irrevocably, terrifyingly certain that no human being has ever been more desirable than Blaine is in this moment.

So Kurt turns his head, and with the light of the setting sun in his eyes, he presses his mouth to his best friend’s lips.
